Norwalk Motorist Who Crossed Double-Yellow Line In Greenwich Was Under Influence, Police Say

A 53-year-old Norwalk motorist is facing DUI charges after crossing the double-yellow line in Greenwich, police say.

On Saturday, Jan. 26 around 2 a.m., police observed Graciela Martinez driving west on East Putnam Avenue between Salem Street and Indian Field Road. Her vehicle was observed in the southernmost lane crossing over the double-yellow line into the Eastbound lane.

Police pulled over the vehicle and asked Martinez to submit to a series of field sobriety tests, which she did not pass.

Martinez was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to drive in proper lane and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. She is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Monday, Feb. 4.
